The DSA Life Cycle Management (LCM) Server application supports the definition and distribution of configuration and firmware through campaigns.
With our DSA LCM server, we support OEMs in the organization of data to reduce the increasing complexity of vehicle electronics.
Via our LCM Server, different vehicle models and trim levels can be defined, and ECUs can be assigned to them. So, the specific hardware and software versions can be determined for each ECU together with their relation to vehicle models, trim levels and configuration options.
In addition, the dependencies between firmware (e.g. engine and gear shift) can also be specified as part of a campaign. Additional calibration routines that are required as part of a firmware update can also be defined and are executed by our FOTA solution.
Campaigns can be distributed in different stages based on freely definable vehicle groups. For example, the campaign can be distributed to the vehicles in the OEM fleet for initial tests and then afterwards to selected countries and regions. The progress of the campaign distribution in the fleet can be monitored in the LCM Server application and potential problems can immediately be analyzed.
Once a campaign and the distribution stages have been defined, the LCM Server identifies the affected vehicle. The information for this is provided by the vehicles to the LCM Server regularly and includes the software and hardware version of all ECUs as well as the coding parameters required for identifying the trim level or specific configuration variants. The campaign responsible then monitors the execution of the campaign and releases the campaign for the next stage.
