DSA at the Aerospace Test and Development Show in Toulouse, France for the first time
From the 10th to 12th of September 2024, DSA was present at the Aerospace Test and Development Show in Toulouse for the first time – the European centre for aviation research and development. The renowned show provides a platform for test and development tools, technologies and services in the aviation industry. At the DSA booth, visitors had the opportunity to learn about innovative solutions for sustainable battery lifecycle management and for easy visualisation of complex electronic systems that reduce repair times.
Solutions for the entire battery lifecycle management
In various demos, visitors were able to experience how DSA battery lifecycle management covers the entire battery lifecycle through efficient monitoring, analysis and maintenance. Starting with the Automated Battery Cell Tester, an automation solution that enables manufacturers of high-voltage batteries to accelerate quality testing and classification by rapidly testing and sorting battery cells. The data on cell quality generated during the tests forms the basis for the future lifecycle management of high-voltage energy storage devices. Another highlight at the DSA stand was the High-Voltage Battery Tester (HVBT), which enables reliable test processes to check safety-relevant specifications and functions of high-voltage battery packs and modules. Thanks to a modular system, the tester's functions can be flexibly adapted to the respective requirements and the test location, as well as integrated into the customer's assembly process safety systems.
Innovative Solutions for System Visualisation
In addition to the battery lifecycle management solutions, DSA presented further innovative technologies: the 3D locator from DSA's after-sales tool chain enables technicians to quickly find and identify components using a 3D model of an aircraft or other vehicle and its internal structures. Another highlight was the schematic viewer, which dynamically and smartly visualises electronic schematics. This technology reduces the complexity of the plans to a clear presentation. An interactive display presents only relevant information, enabling technicians to quickly identify the affected components in the schematic.
Proven Technologies for Aviation
Numerous demonstrations and discussions highlighted the great potential of DSA's solutions for the aviation sector. Just as in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, the solutions developed meet the high demands for reliable energy systems and efficient maintenance processes. DSA also offers proven technologies in the aviation industry that can be adapted to specific needs in order to increase both efficiency and safety in the development and maintenance of aviation systems.
